Are you registered for the NACo Legislative Conference?  The conference is March 6-9 in Washington, D.C. Get more information and registration materials from the NACo Web site. Government Efficiency.  The Effective and Cost-Efficient Service Provision Task Force is up and running.  The Legislature established the task force to explore ways to make local and state government more efficient and effective.  For more information, please visit the task force web site.   
 
Conservation Corps Request.  The Oregon Youth Conservation Corps (OYCC) is soliciting Letters of Intent to apply for Summer 2010 OYEI Grant funding. Attached please find a Memo announcing the solicitation of Letters of Intent for the Summer 2010 OYEI Grant funding cycle.  Also attached is a Letter of Intent Template Form that needs to be completed and submitted as the Letter of Intent.
 
Wind Energy Report.  The AOC Board of Directors has accepted the Wind Energy Task Force Final Report and authorized its distribution to AOC members for their consideration and implementation.  You can read that report HERE.  The Wind Energy Task Force was created in November, 2008 to pursue uniform wind energy review guidelines for consideration of commercial wind energy projects through the county land use permitting process.  The guidelines could ultimately become part of each county’s land use regulations and conditional use process.  Questions?  Contact Art Schlack at the AOC office in Salem.
